New Hope Vocational Services is a private
non-profit Rehabilitation facility with a combined total of twenty-four years
experience within the Director's position. Our objective is for all our
associates to achieve maximum potential through knowledge and training, to serve
our consumers in a more efficient, professional manor, to promote inclusion into
the employment community, to promote inclusion in all aspects of community life,
and educate the general public.
NHVS was developed in March 1991, out of a rising need in the Northeastern Ohio,
for persons with disabilities and barriers to have a voice and a choice in all
aspects of their lives including vocational rehabilitation programs.
The center opened with three employees and one secretary, in
a small office in downtown Cleveland. The center today has the Corporate Office
located in Mentor, Ohio. NHVS has over 40 employees
and serves over 365 Ohioians a year.
NHVS serves all types of disabilities and persons with barriers to work,
including work related injuries. We realize that everyone should have the
right to work and contribute to community life, this makes our communities
stronger and lessens the need for government assistance to individuals.
The Board of directors and the staff at NHVS operate a center
that is designed to provide individualized programming to achieve the highest
rate of success and to assist the person with a disability to achieve full
community participation through community employment. The NHVS staff is
committed to advocating to the communities and their leaders in which we live
and work for persons with disabilities and to educate the general population on
the untapped workforce that can be excellent in attendance performance,
excellent in work performance, dependable and a cost effective workforce for
businesses everywhere.
